no somewhere somehow it became smaller more FE cars retaining values better than trucks. my example for those cars with some of the best residual value was the civic and camry regular ICE vehicles

i thought impala disagreed and told me to get a clue. and i was like wtf?

yeah, YOU got defensive about your little treehugger cars for some reason instead of defending your incorrect statement about trucks.

Then I guess you misread it.

My God I have two women trying to explain vehicle related things to me.
yeah, well, I know what I'm talking about. I'm not trying to explain how the car works. I'm trying to explain the economics behind it. smile.gif

Cathryn, defend your claim about trucks resale value (and for the love of god, don't KBB a POS like the the Ram). We agree that the Prius, Camry, Civic have good trade-in and resale values right now.

Honda and Toyota also make trucks though. What about their full-size trucks?

He did, but your claim of the Prius holding better value than a good full-size truck is BS.

Hey, Impala, let's stick together and attack Cathryn. I'm not insulting your intelligence on this. I just didn't know why you were talking KBB value of your truck when she said let's go get trade-in values on our vehicles this weekend. smile.gif

Prius does hold better resale value right now than a full sized truck. i posted some sources. i mean you can disqualify every listing of top 10 residual value car lists for any number of personal reasons but come on!

you people are ridiculous.

impala misread my post and got all angry over his dumb truck. hope youve never complained about gas prices!

oh you people are ridiculous. jessica shouldnt you be trying to stick to a schedule for your baby?
I am on a schedule. I sleep from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. smile.gif
I don't know if there is any truth to this, and this is certainly not my reasoning for sleeping during the day, but rumor has it that if you are active at night while pregnant, the baby will sleep at night when it is born. Makes sense to me. When I am active right now, the baby sleeps. When I sleep, he is awake and kicking at me. Now, I have him on his sleep schedule. smile.gif

nah i was just saying in general. I told her to go look at kbb to see the values, and instead of getting the values and posting them she pasted some 2007 "best resale" list. I was just pointing out that she didn't even seem to know why I pointed her to kbb.

oh ok. See, that's where I got lost. I didn't know that you were arguing her "best resale" list. My bad.

i did look at KBB. thats how i know the values dude. thats where this whole argument started. did YOU check KBB? doesnt sound like it.

like i said. we are in agreement. trucks hold a proportion of their value that you deem satisfactory. my satisfactory level just happens to be way higher than yours. end of story

don't say "you people" I never once anywhere said "right now a truck holds better value than a prius".

Uh, no, you misread MY post and got all angry of your dumb car. See your post 121 where you go "ooh huh hmmm somewhere somehow it turned into blah blah blah". Don't turn it back around on me.

I haven't. I don't really care. I make enough money that I just pay it and move on. The enjoyment of my vehicle outweighs the cost. The thing puts a grin on my face ear to ear every time I goose it (even with the stock torque management software still intact).
