I'll disagree with this. Camry and Toyota's are known to hold their values. Caddies not as much.

my god! thank you chuck. apparently you are god here and everybody believes you so. there!

and jessica those values for trucks i believe are inflated due to the current market

FULL SIZE TRUCKS STILL HAVE GOOD RESALE VALUE WHICH IS WHAT IMPALA AND I HAVE BEEN SAYING ALL ALONG. Jesus Christ, people. Mid-size trucks and SUVs are the ones struggling right now. Full size trucks still have a consumer base.

The example you used was resale value of an auto with 25000 miles. Ok....

Most people trade in their cars when they hit around 90k miles. I guarantee you the depreciated value % is much higher with trucks than cars

I wouldn't use the FE of a Toyota for comparison. Toyota builds a hell of a vehicle...probably some of the most reliable vehicles on the road (except the Prius....JKJKJKJKJKJKJKJKJKJKJK)

I just sold mine with 27k miles on it...

"most people"... I know a lot of people that go new every 3 or 4 years just for the sake of going new.

And are you seriously going to argue that a Prius is going to be in good working condition when its got tons of mileage on it? That just seems odd to me. It seems like it would be a lot of maintenance

No, you just don't know how to argue your point well. You never said Toyotas that I recall. You started talking about the Camry out of nowhere. I never argued the resale of a camry. I kept trying to take it back to the Prius and you just kept bringing up the Camry for some unknown reason. The Camry is a damn good car. I would buy one.... Either that or a Nissan Altima (which I think got better ratings for 08 than the Camry but don't quote me on that)

i said camry which is a toyota. and it was due to impalas and mys discussion. i never understood why YOU kept bringing up the prius. my first comment when it was just impala and myself about the prius was just an example of how well they retain value

then you are comparing apples and oranges. That is why I asked if you were talking Camry or Camry Hybrid which you never answered. The discussion was hybrids have good resale value. Then it was trucks have shitty. I think everyone here will agree that a Camry has a good resale value, NOT ONLY BECAUSE IT's FUEL EFFICIENT but also because of it's affordable luxury and reliability.

You misread mine Cat. I did not misread yours. I already showed you where and you just ignored it. I'll accept that as defeat and expect Prius delivered beer ASAP!

Fuck the prius and fuck cathryn. I'm just arguing trucks depreciate worse than cars. I don't care about hybrids, they're dildos on wheels. The solution isn't driving hybrids, its fixing the price of gasoline

and no offense, but having a conversation on a message board isn't a private conversation between two people.

that's more like it.

OH and just for the record, this thread is called "HYBRIDS," Cathryn. It's not called "All class of cars that are fuel efficient" so hence why i kept bringing it back to the Prius since its a HYBRID
