I thought it was because they didn't feel like paying the food distributor.

Eh, maybe. I think Hartman knows more about what happened with them.

Sorry guys, I was back in dallas buying a car.

This is the deal. It closed on Valentine's day. I thought someone would have posted it sooner, but maybe I didn't notice. Apparently a large amount of taxes was owed to the TABC because they hadn't paid. So they shut us down until the taxes were paid. New investors are looking into it, and I'll have more details on Tuesday. As far as when it will open, no idea. I don't want to be quoted, but probably 1-2 months.

fuckin TABC

Eh, maybe. I think Hartman knows more about what happened with them.

They had problems with their liquor license, they didn't pay their rent, and he failed to keep up with his payments to the contractors that were adding on to the restaurant. Basically he had no money.

I've never been there. I heard it was a meth lab.

well the general manager and the co-owner both blamed each other for not paying. That is just bad business practices.

I drove by it last night and saw the new logo but could not make out what it was. There were a bunch of people lined up to go in.

Its JJJ's Chophouse and Brewery. The old head brewer is still there brewing, but the new owners are being dicks. He's making him pay for his beer. The new owners are the same guys that own Bigham's Smokehouse.
