Anyone Switched Off Cable/Satellite Options

blaarg, aren't you in Europe? How do you watch Hulu? I tried to watch it while I was in Frankfurt this past weekend and had to use a proxy in the U.S. It messed with the speeds a bit.

I use(d) Hotspot Shield to get around the "not in America" bullshit. Apparently though, Hulu has caught on.

How much do you pay per show you download on there? I guess you'd have to find your break even point. My U-verse bill is $120/mo, with the TV portion accounting for something like $80. So how many shows could I get for $80 off of some download service (and how long do you get to keep them, can you make copies/DVDs/etc)? And of course, still don't have sports. And though it's a little more hassle, with cable/sat/whatever you can always record your shows to the computer for use on there or some portable device. I think the first cable/sat/iptv company to make transferring your recorded shows to the computer or a portable device is the one that really wins over a huge market share.

You have all the movie channels and the max 18 internet for $120/month? Which UXXX package do you have?? I had U400 + max 18 and 3 boxes and it was ~$200/month. Just downgraded bc I don't watch the movie channels anymore and don't download that much anymore.
