ok so my car is having some issues i'd like to get looked at... already done as much trouble shooting as i can and I want to have a mechanic look at her for me.
What mechanics have you guys used and had good experiences with? there are some with good reviews on the cartalk mechanics files http://www.cartalk.com/content/mechx/find.html I'm thinkin i might try this Robert's Wheel Service that is really highly rated on the mechanics files, but figured i'd see what input y'all had before I called anyone -------------------- ~Clatto Verata Nicto

Scott's... a little overpriced but good service.

a high pitched squeek that i havnt been able to track down... already checked the usual suspects... and some suspects recomended by some guys on an explorer forum... it comes from the front end only does it when moving and dont hear it at high speeds, but it may just be covered by wind noise
a front end vibration when braking... but it doesnt always do it... i would think a warped rotor would always vibrate... but i'm gonna pull off the front wheels and check the rotors tomorow and then sometimes a clunk when letting off the gas... possible U joint... but I crawled under and looked at em and tried to flex them like the guys on the explorer forum said and they seemed fine... its getting down to crunch time with papers and stuff so I dont really have the time to do much myself... but i need to get my car in tip top for my adventuring between spring and summer 1 -------------------- ~Clatto Verata Nicto

If not I recommend you use that forum for advice. I have a 93 explorer as well. |

Only one i have used here was Dalton's way out at 100th and Slide. They will check it out and give you the repair total up-front. I think they give a Tech discount also.

His number is in the phone book ... -------------------- I r Ur Gawd!
