If anything they were going to pay Ken Shamrock to take a dive, but he backed out at the last minute (Blamed it on a cut, but it might have also been a bit of pride taking over in not wanting to take a dive for that JOKE).

Either way, I only watch EliteXC for the female fights. I wish Dana White would open his eyes and see, even from a business standpoint alone, just how good women's mma is now and will become. Their fights typically steal every show.

CBS was banking on turning MMA in to a mainstream sport with an overrated backyard brawler who has no ground game and no clue how to fight in mixed martial arts. That's about as dumb as using the XFL or the Harlem Globetrotters to introduce the masses to football and basketball.

Kimbo might look scary and might be a legend with high school youtubers everywhere, but he isn't what MMA is about. He's a hard hitter that would get his ass kicked by any submission/technical fighter. There's a reason he's fighting in EXC and not UFC. EXC is a bushleague joke of a league. Shame on CBS for trying to popularize an up and coming sport by showing first time viewers utter donkey shit. UFC is doing fine the way it is - being shown on pay per view. Local bars are more packed for UFC events than Longhorns and Cowboys games. That's saying a lot.
