Your implication is wrong. From the article you posted:
Chairman of the AIP: QUOTE "We are a state's rights party," says Clark, a self-employed goldminer. The AIP has "a plank that challenges the legality of the Alaskan statehood vote as illegal and in violation of United Nations charter and international law."
She says it's not accurate to describe the party as secessionist -- they just want a vote, she says, adding that the members of the AIP hold different opinions on what Alaska should be. |

Read this very carefully. Save your "OMGWTFLOLBBQIMPALAISDUMBZORZ" for the end.
http://www.akip.org/faqs.html QUOTE Q: What is the Alaskan Independence Party? A: An Alaskan political party whose members advocate a range of solutions to the conflicts between federal and local authority; from advocacy for state's rights, through a return to territorial status, all the way to complete independence and nationhood status for Alaska. Do you understand what this says? It says the members have a range of different ideals. Now let me explain what a range is. If you say something within a range i.e. 0-5, that means the possible numbers are 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5. So in application to this statement, that means some members may be for complete independence of Alaska, while others may just be advocates of state's rights. |

If you say something within a range i.e. 0-5, that means the possible numbers are 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5. Don't forget to specify that you want an integer between 0 and 5, inclusive. Otherwise you open it up to all real numbers within that range, e.g. 1.5. Chaos! This post has been edited by Spectatrix: Sep 2 2008, 12:06 PM -------------------- |

The party advocates independence otherwise the party wouldn't call itself the Alaskan Independence Party. I hear the AMRP (Alaskan Mathematical Range Party) is accepting new members, perhaps you should sign up.

I dunno what else to do other than read directly from the Party's FAQ on their website. Do you also go to garage sales looking to buy a new garage?
