So I'm sitting here watching our olympic team win gold in basketball. I casually take notice of how almost every other team we played was all white. It got me thinking about this. Do black people not immigrate to other countries? nah that can't be it. Black people here in the US were bred for over a hundred years to be more athletic. So where would all the black people in the US be if it weren't for slavery?? (at least, the ones who hadn't immigrated later). slavery is what brought them here from africa, so they'd probably still be there, hunting monkeys & dancing around campfires. or in the very least, living in some 3rd world african nation slinging an ak47 over their shoulder or be covered in flies wondering when the next shipment of rice is coming. sure slavery was terrible and obviously i don't condone it, but it appears to me it turned out pretty well for black people.

I believe that's called "finding the silver lining." But the black people of today who decended from slaves never felt any of the terrible effects of being a slave, they only benefitted of the "silver lining" as you so called it. But since slavery is over (has been for over 100 years), was it worth it considering the "silver lining"? How about 1000 years from now? Is 1000+ years of a higher existence worth 100 years of slavery? From you other guys stupid responses, you act like I condoned slavery. If that's what you took from this post, I'm severely disappointed. Take a minute and actually think about what I'm saying. |

yeah, the black people realized that, then they realized that they can alter the genetics of superior white intelligence by selling white kids drugs thereby making the white people stupider! Ultimatley black people will be WAY WAY WAY more athletic than white people and all the white people will be stupider than the black people then the black people will take over and enslave us then the cycle will repeat itself! YEAH!

I see your point, but like many good points, that one is probably best kept to yourself. People are stupid and like being stupid. Well hunting monkies and dancing around campfires.
I would agree that the modern Black American has is better than the average African. But the end doesn't justify the means. -------------------- Southern Rock, beer and bears!

Well that is the case with a lot of the luxuries we afford ourselves today. Look at what the civil war cost us, 600,000+ lives. Nuking Japan killed what, like 60,000 people? But in the end it could be argued it saved many times that. The key difference here is that the north & south get along, the US & the Japan have gotten over it. but there are a fair amount of people here who still haven't gotten over slavery. if those people would see that they have much better lives now than they might have under different circumstances, it might help them get over it.

(When's your next Klan rally, chuck?) I know the point you're trying to make...and to an extent, you have a point. But like the smart Chuck stated: the end doesn't justify the means. But you're seeming a bit too over-the-top with your support of slavery-as-a-means-of-social-development. -------------------- |

But you're seeming a bit too over-the-top with your support of slavery-as-a-means-of-social-development. Uh, where in the hell did I even imply that I support "slavery as a means of social development?". And I also never said, nor do I think, that the ends justified the means. If that's what you took from the topic I'm not sure what to tell you. This is what prevents you from intelligent discussion most of the time. Really, how long was it before you submitted your replies? About five seconds? You're so quick to condemn someone you won't sit and think for five minutes about a topic. Especially when that someone is me. Then someone like Chuck or Christine replies, semi-agreeing with me and you'll actually take the topic seriously. You seem like a smart guy and a lot of the time you qualify your remarks, but seriously man sometimes you come across as such a sheep it's not even funny. impala, the board logs show ips from the NAACP and ACLU browsing this thread bring em on! |

You....YOU, in all of your blinder-sporting glory, have the audacity to claim this about me? Utterly amazing, Chuck. I don't debate with you over the INTERNETZZZZZZZZZ simply because you REFUSE, absolutely REFUSE, to ever rationally think about any situation or issue. Like I stated about your post: I understand the point you're trying to make, and to an extent I agree with the bare-bones assessment of "quality of life there vs. quality of life here." You just seem to be hammering home an almost 'they should thank us' type tone. Either way, thanks for the immense lolz. Carry on. You know, he's on to something. If blacks are enslaved it means they can't be out on the streets committing crimes like bicycle theft, drive by shootings, and drug deals.
