As you're passing by the back door at a night club, a brand new red ferrari pulls up. Depends. My husband found like $40 lying on the ground in a Buffalo Wild Wings parking lot. It was sitting next to a brand new Mercedes Benz. Haha we kept it and went inside and had a great meal on Mr. Benz. The thing is, though, we didn't see the guy or him drop the money so it was fair game. I mean, technically, the wind could have blown the money there. Seeing someone drop the money, though, I might give it back... Unless there was a huge crowd and it would be a hassle to get to him. He obviously doesn't need the money so why should I go too much out of my way, ya know?

Yeah therin lies the key to the question really. I think if it's found on the ground with no obvious source where it came from, pretty much 100% would keep it.
Also I'm sure the answers would be quite different if we change the circumstances to a beat up old car with a woman and 3 kids getting out at the grocery store. |

If I know whose money it is, I would return it. The amount of money and the identity of the person wouldn't matter. If I find money on the sidewalk randomly, with no indication of who dropped it, I'd keep it if it were a small amount. If it were several hundred/thousands of dollars, I'd turn it into the police because whoever lost it will probably end up there looking for it.

honestly, due to him driving a ferrari to a club, i would not give him his money back. This is due to him being a rich bastard and driving to a club where he will probably be drinking at then driving home. Now if it was someone getting out an average car, i would say something. I just dont see how anyone can justify buying a ferrari, if they waste that much money on it, then who cares if they lose 100 bucks

Have you ever seen a Cadillac Escalade with expensive Rims sitting in the yard of a project house? I have... honestly, some people care more about their car than anything. They will throw every dime they have into a nice ass car and then live like shit in some crappy gov't funded house

to each their own, as far as that stuff is considered. some people get a crap house and fill it with nice stuff, or have nice cars. some people have a really nice house, with cheap junk inside it or crappy cars.

Why does it matter how rich the guy appears to be? It is THEFT to take money that does not belong to you, especially when you have an easy way of returning it to the owner!
