my prediction is that like most of the hurricanes that come towards texas...it veers sharply south and goes through mexico

Looks like the models keep moving north, also increasing in intensity. right now its predicted to be a cat 4 before it hits. you austin folks better be ready, looks like it might still be a cat 2 when it gets there.

eh should be aight. it's aiming more for us now, but unless it hits as a high 4 or 5 we should be fine. the winds dont bother us as much as the storm surge, and even then it has to be about 25 ft or more. might be a fair amount of damage but we'll be safe.

well yesterday early the models were showing it heading into the austin area as a cat 2. it keeps curving up and to the NE now though. so yeah i'm sure you guys won't get all that much. it looks like even dallas might not get as much as it showed yesterday.
all the gas stations around here are starting to run out of gas. they've ordered mandatory evac for the lower lying areas. we're on the edge of that but haven't been called, though it has to surge to like 22+ feet before we get anything in the house so i'm sure we're good. still gonna board up the windows though. |
