so... you're going to go get your guns buried in hillbilly tx country, and sit there with your gold & silver... until someone else comes in and takes over, and just allows you all the freedoms you normally have, and says, sure, even though you're completely defenseless, we'll buy your gold from you at a reasonable exchange rate and allow you citizenship into our new country!

this does post an interesting topic (maybe a new thread), I'd be curious to know what everyone's detailed planning is for something like a bad natural disaster or similiar event. not necessarily an armageddon or complete breakdown of the country's/world's governments, just stuff you'd keep in the garage/basement/whatever.

you guys are missing the point
the gold/silver is mainly for the engineered financial disaster that will happen, when the dollar is worth only pennies you'll be wishing you had invested in metals that don't lose value as a backup our first step towards financial disaster was getting off the gold-standard backing of the dollar i'm fully prepared for any diasaster, be it financial, natural, military, famine or otherwise |
