This reaffirms my opinion of your intellect. It still confuses me how you can say two completely opposing things and believe both of them true. i said... 1. his name is of muslim decent 2. all he did was say his full name, never called him a muslim 3. it doesn't matter learn to read. -------------------- ![]() |

Do you use people's full name all the time when talking about them? depends on who it is (jfk, lbj, etc.) but yeah, at times everybody does. when you're angry at somebody, sometimes you say their full name. i can't believe i'm even explaining this to you. when a mom gets mad at her kid, she'll often say their full name to imply that their angry. this guy did that to obama...obviously he's against obama, so it makes sense. yeah, maybe he did say it to make people think about "hussein" or whatever, who knows. the point is, it's still his name and why is it even a big deal? if everyone was comfortable with his name to begin with, people wouldn't be getting all bitchy about it. after awhile and everyone knows his name, nobody will even care. -------------------- ![]() |

I can't believe you really just made this statement... you're comparing this guy's obvious using his middle name to associate obama with saddam, to your mother using your middle name when she's pissed!??!? yeah, maybe he did say it to make people think about "hussein" or whatever, who knows. Yeah, maybe rain is wet, but who knows the point is, it's still his name and why is it even a big deal? if everyone was comfortable with his name to begin with, people wouldn't be getting all bitchy about it. after awhile and everyone knows his name, nobody will even care. It was a big deal to mccain because he didn't want someone speaking that way at one of his campaign rallies. I admire him for coming out against the comments. |

I'm really surprised, Impala. I would've expected you to have taken a stance similar to jonathan's.

Well, I've never even heard of the dude that was tryin to talk all "fired up". I can't stand posers, especially when the guy is making McCain look bad. It's nice to see that McCain can lash back at members of his own party (something he's shown before as well).

QUOTE Cunningham said McCain "ought to attack Democrats and quit attacking conservatives like me." This line is exemplary of everything that's wrong with American politics. The idea that a politician should back one of their own instead of doing what's right. However, I did find this line entertainingly ironic: QUOTE "John McCain threw me under a bus -- under the 'Straight Talk Express,' " Bill Cunningham told CNN on Tuesday, referring to McCain's campaign bus.
