Car stereo suggestions Options

I'm thinking about swapping out the stereo in my car, since right now I just have the stock stereo and it likes to flake out on CDs sometimes. I know from previous times looking that there are about a billion stereos out there with very similar features and the folks at Fry's are useless at making suggestions, so I'm asking here.

Not looking for anything too fancy... needs to play mp3 cds and have an audio input port so I can hook up my free ipod that I've yet to use. No need for satellite radio capability.

So... suggestions on brands or even models?
