I understand the motivation, that they want to stop seller retaliation for bad feedback, the nasty back-and-forth that can happen... but I think this is a bad idea. Furthermore, I think seeing those arguments between a buyer and seller is very telling. If a seller gets engaged in petty crap or gives their buyer a negative just because they got negative feedback from them (and usually this is obvious), that's probably not a seller I want to buy from. Plus some sellers won't let you bid unless you have a certain feedback threshold. Getting rid of feedback on buyers thus hurts those who are ONLY buying and never sell. Like, um, me.
