i'd be willing to bet that those are also some of the most popular cars purchased, so maybe they're the top 10 stolen vehicles just based on volume?
but yeah, i'm right there with you on the chevy truck.

Could that possibly be because the Ford and GM half-ton trucks are also the #1 and #2 selling vehicles in the US these days? No wonder there are more of them stolen.

I don't think so, Ford and GM pickups have been the #1 most stolen vehicles in the entire nation since about 1999 if I remember right.

ford and gm trucks have never been 1 and 2. for the longest time they werent even in the top 25. and now the trend is for smaller and smaller vehicles (as of 2007)

i dont know where you get your info from, but the Ford F-150 is the top selling vehicle
