So basically it's a bunch of non-working people crying that the working people should pay for their health problems...
I cannot wait until some of you have careers. It's very simple. If you want health insurance, get a full time job. Atleast in this state and California, full time employees are entitled to health benefits from their employer. If you're a student, you have options through the university. If you're just a part-time, on again, off again, between jobs student who's not really enrolled into any university but considers themselves a student anyway, you don't deserve shit. So get over it. I have a full time job, two actually (I'm employed through a campaign) and only the shitty one that I hate offers health insurance. But then again, campaign work is kind of seasonal. Depends really.
Also, when I worked for the City of San Antonio with a councilperson, we didn't get health benefits. So it really depends on the employer. Some positions with the city got benefits, some didn't. |

Nope, full time. None of us had insurance... except for I believe our Administrative Aide did.

Weird. I guess I must be some special case, as every job I have ever had, from working part time for my school district when I was 17, to working at a kroger for a couple years in high school, wal mart for a summer, best buy for a summer, part time in the TTU ATLC, TTU network operations, my two jobs after college, pretty much every job I've ever held, no matter how small, has offered some type of insurance. some may have only paid a small amount, like 10%, some paid 100%. of course I didn't sign up for health insurance with all of those smaller jobs though, as I was covered under my parent's insurance until I was 25.

Yeah, it was weird. When I worked at the State Leg I got insurance. It was bizarre.
