I finally reopened checking and savings accounts after nearly a year. I got tired of carrying around $20k in cash. That reminds me I get paid tomorrow. Maybe I should get around to depositing my other paychecks. I already have 3 sitting in my closet

Cell phone, internet, etc. Utilities are paid through their respective auto bill pay system or checks. Had yet another great experience with Bank of America myself.
My paypal was hacked and they charged stuff using my empty BofA account (I have two accounts with Bank of America). I filed fraud charges with Paypal and then contacted Bank of America about the overdraft charges. BofA told me they would refund me the overdraft charges as soon as the money from Paypal was credited. I was like "ok whatever. Thats fine. I don't use that account anyway." Had it been an account I use, I KNOW FOR A FACT, BofA would have credited the money right then. So a couple days later Paypal overturns the charges, and I get an email saying the money will be back in my PAYPAL account in 3-5 business days. This poses a problem. I needed them to credit my bank account so that I could get the overdraft charges overturned. I called BofA and offered to send them the emails. The lady on the phone was very pleasant and credited my account without me having to show any documents. Like I said before, the more accounts a person has with BofA and the more money they process through BofA, the better a person is treated by them. You either get treated like royalty or you get treated like shit (because you aren't making them any money. You are useless to them). I love BofA and probably will never change banks. |

When you open an account, they give you checks and a check card. The check card can be used to withdraw money from your account or use it like any Visa check card for purchases(which I don't do).

Oh yeah, and you get interest on their checking account. You can buy stocks, mutual funds, CD's all online.
