Ok what I'm saying is take what was bad in 1955 and group those things into category A. Then take the things that are considered bad today and put them into category B. Category B is a tiny slice of category A. Does that make sense?

No. We're in 2007, not the 50s. Times change, old man.

thats why i usually buy a 4 roll pack. If you buy one of those huge economy 24 roll packs, its embarrassing. its like saying HEY I WIPE MY ASS A LOT i don't see how it's embarrassing i'd rather use a wad of toilet paper than have the chance of getting shit on my hands... -------------------- "Ah, y'know it's funny, these people they go to sleep, they think everything's fine, everything's good. An interesting video on Mike Huckabee and his record of "gift receiving" while governor of Arkansas...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0pRDxY42BpU He received over 100K in gifts in one year alone... Also received 20K from one person which he later appointed to the stadium commission (whatever that is)... The most interesting point was when he and his wife did a WEDDING REGISTRY at certain department stores, showing what they would like for their new house... -------------------- ![]() |

Big deal. It's not like these people are writing the man huge checks. They like the guy so they send him shit. What's he supposed to do? Send his 1/2 off at wendy's card back?

What's he supposed to do? Send his 1/2 off at wendy's card back? Not that specifically, but for the general question... yes. As a state employee, I am not permitted to accept any cash (or cash equivalent) gifts, nor any gifts worth more than $50, from people connected to work. Gifts that are against the rules may not truly be inappropriate, but the state wants to avoid an appearance of impropriety. Someone in a higher position, like governor, is going to be subject to more scrutiny because they have real power. The gifts may not be bribes, but they certainly appear to be such, and he should know better. -------------------- |
