I wanted Tech to win because I felt UT was overrated.
However, I think McCoy is HAWT so I dont mind their win.

Up until the recent weeks it was all TTU in my mind.
Jamaal Charles and Colt McCoy's scrambling win the game.
After McCoy throws another INT
This is all regardless of how well or bad Harrell plays.

they've looked like this for at least the last 5 years (as long as I've watched them), this is nothing new

every year I hear people say that our defense has greatly improved, and every year our defense sucks

One of the better UT games I've been to

Texas could beat any team in the country the way they're playing

And thank you to Vegas for setting the over/under at 62. Morons

Leach Rips Refs
QUOTE
AUSTIN, Texas -- Texas Tech coach Mike Leach ripped game officials Saturday, suggesting the crew favored Texas, after the Longhorns beat the Red Raiders 59-43.

Without naming him, Leach noted that referee Randy Christal lives in Austin.

"I think it's disturbing that Austin residents are involved in this. People work too hard, too long, there's too much money invested in these games to allow that," Leach said.

"Am I condemning the crew? Hell yeah, I'm condemning the crew," Leach said.

Big 12 official spokesman Bob Burda did not immediately respond to telephone messages seeking comment. Leach's rant will likely draw a fine from the league and possibly a suspension.

Leach was upset officials disallowed two Tech touchdowns in the third quarter. The first was overruled when video replay clearly showed the receiver let the ball hit the ground. On the next play, a touchdown pass was negated by a holding penalty. Leach also wanted, but didn't get, a flag for roughing the quarterback.

"Unless this can change, the Big 12 Conference needs to take a serious look at having out of conference officials officiate the Texas Tech-Texas games and perhaps other games where there is proven to be a bias by officiating," he said. "It's unfortunate and does the bowl picture enter into it? I don't know. Does the money enter into it? I don't know."

Leach's rant lasted for several minutes.

"It may be incompetence, bias, I don't know. Maybe it's something as simple as guys sitting over the water cooler at their office in Austin talking about how the great game they're going to see -- and then perhaps a preconceived notion develops as to how it's going to come out," he said.

Asked if expects to be punished by the league for his remarks, Leach said, "I expect to be coaching. I don't know what will happen but I'm not standing for this."

I support someone finally saying that UT gets preferencial treatment. Can't say we lost because of it, but we got a good fucking on a couple of plays...

I agree. People always say "well if we would have played better than the refs wouldn't have mattered," but I think that's only true to a certain extent. We can't make progress if every time we get our heads above water we get a bucket of water dumped on us...

Exactly how the fuck does UT get preferential treatment?

I wonder how much Leach is gonna whine when UT's BCS appearance nets his school 1.2 million dollars.

When things are on the line they will give UT the benefit of the doubt. Where as, they look for penalties to call on the other team.

Been lurking a while just haven't posted much. I feel compelled to completely disagree with Leach. All of those calls were clearly correct in the replays. I love Leach as a coach, but the man was just wrong. It only looked like preferential treatment because we screwed up so many times in such a short time period.

That first controversial UT touchdown, the UT receiver's toe was clearly in. That first TD Leach referred to that we had called back, the ball clearly hit the ground. That second one, where we had the holding penalty, was blatantly holding, and there was clearly no roughing the passer, as Harrell was hit barely a split second after letting the ball go.

We simply got beat in Austin. Not too terribly surprising given our road record over the past several years. Our run defense has sucked ever since I went to Tech, and it's consistently how we get beat. When Jamaal Charles goes 165 yds in 18 carries in the first half, it's hard to win. When UT can use their rushing to put together drives that run 7 minutes off the clock and take up 18 plays, it's hard to win.

I'm not a huge Leach fan as a coach but he had a really good gameplan today

And so did Greg Davis. Davis had the best gameplan I've ever seen as a DC. Start stocking up on canned goods, the apocalypse is coming very soon

What? It doesn't matter that his toe was in, his heel was out! Even all the commentators agreed that he was out of bounds and it wasn't a TD.

I think that call helped UT's momentum, and that's what helped us getting screwed. I know those other plays of ours were bad, but we UT still didn't deserve that first TD.

Our offense did a pretty good job today, but our defense is the one who let them get that far ahead. Even will all their injuries, we couldn't keep up.
