I have a tivo box that is almost 3 yrs old and finally took a shit with the white screen of death
Anyone know if it's possible to toss in a new/fixed HDD with something like MythTV or Mythbuntu and make it work? -------------------- |

Well, first of all, do you know for sure that the HDD is what's broken? There's other components that could be broken (don't know much about the Tivo's internal components though).
Other than that, I'd assume it would be possible although there's no telling how easy it would be. If not, you can build a cheap computer for maybe $100 more and put MythTV on it. If you want to spend more on it, you could also get something like this. -------------------- Holy shit, pebkac, you're awesome!
