so, i was watching season 3 of the Whitest Kids You Know... and they hit upon a subject that makes alot of sense...
at the end of the movie... gandalf saves frodo and his fag-hobbit-lover from the mountain spewing lava with a giant eagle..... whole point was that the ring corrupted everyone except frodo. if gandalf took it he wouldn't have had an eagle take it, he'd have kept it for himself and become uber super evil gandalf.

I thought he was... they purposely showed that when sam was saving frodo from the tower... he started to hesitate when frodo asked him to give him the ring back.
