i honestly believe there needs to be a much more strict policy on giving benifits to people. instead of just throwing money at the issue and letting them live their lives the way the want, i think there should be consequences. like you're on parol or something. you fuck up, you lose your benifits. require them to be rehabilitated to an acceptable level. if a mother of 3 kids dropped out of school, and wants benifits. fine. give her the benifits but require her to get her GED. she doesn't do it, get rid of the money.
the idea, nothing is free. if they want the money, they'll earn it. i also think that a case worker that gives these benifits should be proffessionally degree'd. most of the people who qualify others for welfare, disability, etc only have a high school diploma. either that, or get rid of the benifits completely. you'd be surprised how often going hungry will force someone to stop spending $400 a week on crack, get off their ass (thats what the possession cs charge is by the way) -------------------- QUOTE (Jessica @ May 7 2007, 01:15 PM) but yeehaw dammit.
