Granted, I don't disagree with spending money on keeping the country secure, but I seriously doubt that the bill needs to be $500 billion. Well when a F-22 costs $230 million and an aircraft carrier is several billion, it adds up purty quick. I have no doubt there's a lot of secret weapons projects we don't know anything about. Those have to get funded too.

Charlie, maybe you can help figure something out... When exactly did I mention the phrase "Neo-Con"? "Neo-Cons", republicans, democrats, basically all congressional law makers are responsible for the ever increasing size of our national deficit which I believe to be a serious problem.
