Just curious. Those of you with full-time jobs, how much vacation do you get per year? Not including holidays of course.
Also, do you get to choose when you take your vacation or is it pre-determined? I know teachers get a great deal on vacation, and military I think gets 30 days which is pretty good. How about you? -------------------- ![]() |

the vacation policy at my old company was strictly kept, and it was 18 days a year, but that included sick time. still purty good imo. you got more after 3 years, then 5, then 10 as well.
my current company has a very informal vacation policy, technically it's 10 days, but they don't really keep track of it. the sick policy- "if you're sick, don't come to work, or work from home". basically if you want off for something and it's reasonable, you get it off. a fine example is a guy who just took 12 days to go to peru. |

15 days PTO (combined vacation/sick time), 2 days "personal floating holiday". PFHs get cashed out at the end of the year if we don't use them, whereas PTO rolls over.
10 days of holiday time too. -------------------- |

9 hours accrued a month of vacation, i rack up comp time, and i have large amounts of university holiday and energy conservation days.
overall, i'd probably total around 6 weeks off a year if I took all my vacation |

more than my workload allows. I think it's 20 days a year, but I'm not certain...I always have like 200hrs available ont he books.
but they also have a very rad "leave of absence" policy for doing things like contracting or missionary work. cupcake the missionary...LMFAO |

9 hours accrued a month of vacation, i rack up comp time, and i have large amounts of university holiday and energy conservation days. The EXACT same as me. Also get 8 ours of sick time a month to accrue. If I get this other job with the city, I'll have to cash out all of my Tech comp/sick/vacation time. Good because it equals a nice chunk of money...bad because I lose all of that potential time off. I won't get as much time with this other job. Two weeks vacation a year, which means they'd give me like...4 days or so to finish out this year. This post has been edited by Psykopath: Sep 21 2007, 01:29 PM -------------------- |

something like 31-32 including holidays, i think?
16.5 days PTO (5.12hrs per pay period that can accrue up to 400, which is absurd) 4 floating holidays 6 holidays 3 flex days 2 "ceo" days edit: the pto is the same as with spec. can be taken whenever or sold back. |

We have no vacation policy. Nobody keeps track of how many days you take off. You just ask for time off when you need it and go from there.
And yes, of course its all paid time off. -------------------- QUOTE (Lance) now we have some dude from argentina wondering how to fuck dogmeat |

2 weeks of vacation after the 1st year of employment. And 80 hours of Personal Time (PT) to accrue and use per year. Vacation rolls over, PT does not. Sick time is accrued 6+ hours per month.
