Futurama was four seasons and was cancelled because of money issues...

5 Seasons

and I don't think Nickelodeon has ever let go of one of their shows to another network.

Doug?

And it was Four seasons... at least that's what's been released on DVD and they have every episode on all of the DVD's.

Who got doug?

There is a difference between a volume and a season. 5 seasons in 4 Volumes on DVD.

Edit: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0149460/episodes#season-5 Link cause I don't want to have to say again.

And the other good news is that they're doing 26 new episodes of
''Futurama'' for TV and we're hammering out the deal now.The original
plan was to have the DVD's first but that's no longer the case.I'm totaly
jammed dude.

Guys,
I'm sorry I gave inaccurate info on the cartoon.I was told on one end that the
TV show was a go but DXC enlightened me (with a hammer) that this was
not the case.I think there is a Futurama project as in DVD's but I appearently
had bad info. But I do live to give good Futurama news to people. So I must've
died or something.

All eyes on the skies,

Billy

Well poot. There should still be new seasons of Futurama if sales of the direct-to-DVD movies go well.

I read something about this in an interview with him like a year ago, so they must be moving pretty slow. And now Lance's thing says he was wrong and it's scrapped?!?!

I don't think it's been scrapped completely. What I'd heard before is that they were going to make 4 direct-to-DVD "movies" (short things, like 75 min long, I think) and might continue the regular series if sales of those were good.
