Tech's 2-man show, guess who Options

Harrell and Crabtree. Harrell and Crabtree. It gets kinda old, and we can't keep running plays between 2 people over and over. It'll come to kill us when we play the big boys.

and I don't wanna hear how "yeah but Crabtree is awesome, duh!" Well obviously he's good, but when we're winning huge and Graham and Crabtree are still playing in the 4th quarter, that's stupid. It's obvious that Tech just wants to pad their stats and say we have the most passing yards, etc. Nobody cares about that anymore.

Keep playing Harrell late in the 4th when we're up by 35, and he's gonna end up hurt. His left ankle is already having problems. Can't they let the backup have more time? Geez.

and Crabtree. We need to start passing to more players instead of just one dude the whole time. I bet Amendola is pissed. Actually, one of the father's of a WR said that the other WR are pissed because Crabtree tells Graham what to play in the huddles.

Now to you who don't like what I'm saying. I know it's working...but how long will it continue? We need to start practicing with other people, and especially stop using Harrell halfway through the 4th quarter when we're playing SMU and Rice and up by a ton!

here's the breakdown of reciever stats, we're spreading it around ok imho.

percentage of the 132 catches we have so far:
crabtree = 28%
amendola = 19%
morris = 13%
woods = 10%
reed = 8%

+ 4 others who have 4 rec or more
and 14 total who have caught a pass

i'm more pissed about them having graham stay in so damn long.

whatever wins games.
if crabtree starts getting doubled then other recievers will get more touches.
from what i've seen it's spread about as even as it ever has.
last year rojo got most of the touches.

Nothing wrong with keeping Crabtree in late. He SHOULD be #3 in the Heisman rankings, but the AP or whoever votes for that has their head up their ass and he's not even on the chart.

Tim Brown, I think.

Unless you count Desmond Howard, who was more of a do-everything type guy. Same with Rocket Ismael.

primarily defense though.
in which winning the award was a feat in itself.

the heisman and the polls are a huge joke.
they're just popularity contest.

i know it's working, but look at who we've played. i just think things might be different.
and again, i'm more concerned with keeping the QB in late than the WRs.

Some of the offensive coaches have addressed this in various interview... they've said, if anything, they aren't getting him the ball enough.

Good things happen when the ball is in Crabtree's hand... I have zero problem with him getting 10+ receptions a game.

Do you guys realize that he's two touchdowns away from tying the school record (13) for most touchdown receptions in a single season? We've only played FOUR GAMES! Holy shit.
