Joe six pack will never embrace the hybrid movement until they stop making them look like "The Car of the Future, uture, ture, ure". Open wheel designs, three wheels, bubble designs, and all that jazz. It's just an American image thing.
Because of that paradigm, hybrids will never be more than deathtraps as long as insecure males and status-seeking females insist that a 6-ton 14 seat off-road behemoth is the only thing capable of the grueling trek to the grocery store. Freight trucks and school busses aside, we could get away with these lighter smaller cars as long as we ALL have them. Just imagine Cooper mini vs. Ford Excursion in a T-bone collision. Now just two minis. This country will probably be among the last to embrace the movement since we don't want a way to get to work as much as another place to watch our dvds. |

so... it's another go kart (cept this time it's a slow go kart).
why do people think it's so innovative to have a tiny ass car that weighs like 500lbs get good gas mileage? |
