Since it's politics, it's here!

Anyone going from Texas Tech? It's in South Carolina this year and should be fun. Texas College Dems rented a van and we're heading up there tomorrow afternoon.

Just wanted to see if anyone would be there.

Melanie, I think you should look into the Libertarian party... the Democrats are not what they used to be and they're not what they market themselves as today. They're not the party for the poor or minorities anymore.

10 - 20 years ago I would have voted Democrat, but not today. Republicans and Democrats are the same exact party with different spins.

Libertarians are they only party that actually supports the constitution.

This is Lance BTW.

Alright Senator Gravel. (Kidding).

But I was born and raised a Democrat. I love what the party stands for. It still does stand for the union worker and minority. Go look up the votes that Congressman Ciro D. Rodriguez made and those will prove that there are Democrats still working hard for the hardworking people of the United States.

Oh, and I'll be there! I'll be with the Texas Delegation and CDA Executive Council. :-)

In the 2004 election you thought you had a choice between Democrats and Republicans, Kerry and Bush, but both were members of the Skull and Bones secret society at Yale... both preached the same policies except with a different spin to fool the American public.

People threw the Republicans out of Congress because the Democrats said they would get us out of the war. Have they done that? No, because they don't want us out of the war... they're Republicans.

Just because you were born and raised Democrat doesn't mean you have to keep on being a Democrat. If my party continually lied to me and continually abused the Constitution just like the Republicans do I would switch parties.

Below are a list of candidates that HAVE attended a CFR (Council on Foregin Relations) meeting which is part of the Illuminati/New World Order. A vote for any of the candidates below will mean more of the same Bush-like policies, continued war-fare, less freedom, destruction of the Bill of Rights, devaluation of the American dollar, and the eventual merging of America, Canada, and Mexico into one nation like the E.U through the SPP (Security & Prosperity Partnership... research it).

Vote wisely, think for yourself, don't swallow everything one party says hook like and sinker, research and look into everything you'll be surprised what you find. Avoid any candidate on that list and support any candidate that is not (such as Ron Paul and Mike Gravel).

the two words "college" and "democrats" coupled together in such a fashion as to be a compound, almost proper, noun... "College Democrat" ...conjures images of those who are just educated and experienced enough to embrace a very naive and wholly unviable approach to life.

more specifically...I think of 'enlightened' LUG* lacrosse players and guys who'd rather eat whey and soy than bloody their hands on an animal because they respect the right of all sentient beings to live and prosper.

No...I do not think I will be attending.

Unions promote mediocrity. What's good about that again?

The minority isn't going to be a minority in a few years if we don't close the damn borders.

Lance, sometimes you sound ok, but then you bust out that conspiracy junk and just ruin it for me. Conspiracy induces skepticism.

Dessert man, right again.

There's nothing wrongs with unions, they protect workers from being taken advantage of by employers. There's always a fine line though and when the unions get more powerful than the employer the unions can destroy the business. It's a balancing act which hardly anyone ever gets right.

With that said, I support Unions.

I like being a Democrat and I just wanted to know if anyone would be there. We're trying to get Texas Tech truly established with College Dems since the chapter went inactive in recent years.
