I've been trying to figure out what year this antique clock was made (somewhere around the civil war), but I need to figure out what kind of bird this is.

Its some sort of crane. Storks have fatter bills and pelicans have the pouch.

also I believe the bird is an Ibis

Ive seen other seth thomas clocks with the same looking bird and its referred to as an ibis
