had a local when i got my wisdom teeth out not a problem, didnt notice, didnt swell, over all a fun time

had a general and couple hour long surgery when i was years younger to remove a burst and rotting appendix and to clean out the resulting infections i had. obviously dont remember much but its always pretty cool when you are on the verge of going on conscious and everything is really surreal.

recovery (or if you got major pain prior to surgery obviously) is always the tough part. ask for a morphenine drip!

seriously I think that is one of the coolest feelings in the world when they put you to sleep (not that i'd want more surgery). and yeah recovery sucks. always the worst pain. i gots me a big nice bottle of morphine for when I get home. hopefully they'll load me up on dilaudid at the hospital before they send me home.

General:

Tonsils/ear plug

Local:

Wisdom Teeth - they only pulled three and fourth just grew in, so may have to go back if it gets bad.
Removal of mole on back of neck
Removal of cyst on forehead
Partial removal of toenail

Can't think of any others

1 local, 1 general. General was having my gallbladder taken out; local was removing part of a toenail due to a nasty infection there.

general to remove a mass under my vocal chords in the 7th grade. Overall wasn't bad, recovered in a few days.

I haven't had any local unless you count the 4 teeth I had removed sophomore year of high school...bone scissors are not fun. mad.gif
