Wow. http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/americas/6560685.stm

The company I work for recruits heavily out of VT since the home office is located up the street in Roanoke. Really sad.

Does anyone really feel the public needs machine guns?

The death toll is just gonna keep rising... maybe in the 50s even?

Even when the toll was at 21, they said it was the "worst school shooting in U.S. history." Pretty sad.

no

but they aren't trying to outlaw machine guns (belt-fed, automatic weapons)...they are trying to legislate semiautos that merely look menacing, but actually fire at the same rate as the marlin .22 you grew up shooting.

CNN now saying 31 and still 29 injured....

this could happen on any university....and is there any real way to stop this sort of thing?

i assume a machine gun was used in this....why exactly is it legal for the public to have machine guns? What purpose do they serve for public use? Im not bashing gun supporters, I am just curious on why they should be legal.

Quoted for posterity... rolleyes.gif

They have reported that the gunman was Asian.

I am predicting metal detectors and security lines at all college campuses. Administered by the TSA of course... Right after they unionize.
