It is so time to split this thread. I have a friend that has been making me dinners lately. He has gotten me to try cucumbers, all colors of bell peppers, sauted onions, vinagerete (sp), and fresh tuna. I liked the cucumbers and am starting to like the bell peppers. Yay for finally being motivated to try new things.
You all would be so proud of me. Last night we went out for Mexican and I ordered fajitas. Though I didn't have any of the soggy onion/pepper mix they come sizzling with, I did have several bites of the rice I was given (not too bad but only to be eaten with a mouthful of fajita) and I even had a bite of refried beans (not so much for bean paste, but it wasn't the worst thing I've ever eaten either) Jason was like wtf are you doing and I said trying new things! |

When I first tried one a few weeks ago, I was expecting it to taste somewhat like the green, but it was so different that it threw me. So I tried a couple more pieces and just couldn't convince myself to put it in the salad, so I threw the entire thing away. What a waste of a buck
I'm kind of curious as to what red tastes like now. -------------------- Spam? Isn't that something poor people eat?

How the hell are you people this old and have not had common foods?! had does not = like or eat regularly How would you know if you didn't like a food? By what you thought when you had it. I grew up with a backyard turned into a garden. My dad grew everything from carrots and lettuce to watermelon and canteloupe. I loved to help him plant, weed and pick. But I only ate the lettuce and the watermelon. What's worse is my dad is an amazing cook. He always made his own sauces and dishes. And me being the picky little brat I always ruined it by having to be served first (so I could get noodles before the sauce was added for example) or served something completely different (a bowl of cereal, a sandwich) It's weird but I can recall foods that I grew into and then grew out of. Brussel sprouts in particular. I used to look forward to them with a cheese sauce on top. Then the day came where I just wanted the sauce. Haven't interested me since. -------------------- Forget regret

I'm going to sound like an ass here but...
If 95% of the population eats that food and you don't...then your tastes are off. Not ours. -------------------- "Ah, y'know it's funny, these people they go to sleep, they think everything's fine, everything's good. They wake up the next day and they're on fire."
