Okay, so i just switched to OpenDNS, under the premise that it's faster and has oh-so-nifty-even-though-i-already-have-them features and whatnot, but i'm wondering if anybody else from the area has noticed any real speed increases.

The reason I ask is that OpenDNS seems to have servers in every corner of the US except texas. Seriously, only Hawaii is farther away from all the OpenDNS servers in the country than Texas. (Which is retarded considering the cost of bandwidth down here is pretty fucking cheap.)

Anyways, that's prompting me to wonder if verizon's FIOS DNS servers might actually be a bit faster than OpenDNS.

Also, are there any problems I should be aware of with openDNS?

I know somebody on here has to have heard of them before.
