Back in October I broke my right hand pretty badly, and I was told that I was pretty much at the half way point of needing surgery and not needing surgery. Well, I chose no surgery. This past week, my hand has been hurting pretty badly again....especially when I type and drive (i guess i hold the wheel the wrong way).

Any recommendations on some good pain relieving methods? I dont want to take medicine and my health insurance ended last Tuesday when I turned 22.

Whiskey

In reality I'm not entirely certain but I'd see a doctor as soon as you can afford it.

Get one of those wrist supports for when you type. If you don't have one already, I'd suggest a very comfortable keyboard as well (with proper wrist curvature and all that).

Also, do some slow finger, hand, and wrist movements/stretches a few times a day.

Get one of those 'grip resistance' training things to help build up some additional strength in it.

I'm going to quote this again in all seriousness. Zach and Jonathan offer decent short-term solutions but if you've broken your hand before and its hurting in the same place it will persist until you get professional assistance.

if you cause a car wreck that appears to be the other person's fault.... eh, i should probably stop there. insurance fraud isn't looked too kindly upon in my near-future line of work.

Yeah but last time I heard she was enrolled at UT and I'm pretty sure they offer similar services.
