Filled in gaps and was kinda more fulfilling than the movies themselves. This movie is supposed to be an intro to the 30-minute-long episodes of the Clone Wars. Supposedly. The animation looks good on this one, and we will see if the story-line is any good. That little weird-looking girl, Ashoka, is his padawan. I can't wait until October so I can get my 12 inch Clone Wars General Obi-Wan Kenobi figure. I want it NOW damnit!! |

Oh the cartoon I loved....well some of it. I thought it outlined best how the Jedi are SUPPOSED to fight. I just think this movie is rehashing what Lucas has pretty much covered. He's spending way too much fucking time trying to develop the story BEFORE A New Hope when I'd much rather like to see what happens after Return of the Jedi. Some of the books that have been written past that point are fantastic and movie worthy. I'd actually like to see someone else direct it and Lucas produce it because honestly....he's lost his touch. He's thinking by making things cartoony, jar jary, swinging monkey-y...that he's going to appeal to a younger generation (therefore keeping the franchise alive even longer) But I truly think he's leaving all of us old schoolers with a rather sour taste in our mouths.

That I can agree with....there's a HUGE amount of untapped resources after the events of Return of the Jedi. He needs to focus on that more. He's been too busy trying to reach a younger audience...fuck the kids...those of us older fans are the ones who have the money for the expensive memorabilia and stuff like that, not the brats. |

Lucas has repeatedly said he's not going to do any stories after return of the jedi. Contrary to popular belief, he never wrote any stories after RoTJ. His original story was all about Anakin Skywalker and divided up into six parts, and I think it was Fox who told him they only wanted the last three.

i am still not sure how the new Punisher movie will be.
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0450314/ most of the actors are from television shows. the dark knight was pretty good, i wish they would have made the batman voice sound a little less silly. wanted was interesting, but a bit cheesy. (still waiting for twilight watch) UPCOMING MOVIES Still looking forward to soderbergh's guerilla: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0374569/ they have been working on it forever. not sure what to think about this soderbergh directed flick: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1130080/ the rum diary still seems to be pushed back because of thompson's death. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0376136/fullcredits#cast could be good: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0450405/ might be a flop, but i will still see it: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1135487/ sounds good: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1111422/ still on the fence about this one: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1046997/ not a big spike lee fan, but the preview is intriguing. ?: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1129381/ there are a lot of movies popping up that have a large cast of television comedians, not sure of the outcomes: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1155056/ and http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1197628/ for example. |

I still think Punisher is about the dumbest "superhero" ever. Dude puts on a skull t-shirt and shoots guns. BFD.

superhero? the punisher is far from that. it is a vigilante story written for comic books. most "super heroes" consider him to be a villain.
not much different from batman, just without the money and trite love story. it is more realistic. he uses detective work, interrogation, manipulation etc. rather than flying in and magicing up some goodness. i really can't stand traditional superhero movies, especially when there is just one character with superpowers.
