Actually I've been impressed with this years selection, there's actually been quite a few decent ones, as well as a few decent ones at the end of last year... It seems like Hollywood is starting to come out of it's slump, even if it's only by ripping off ideas from comic books and the like.

edit: and superbad, is, for the record, superbadass.

They only had it for a short while, cus soon after Transformers came out, Harry Potter came out in IMAX 3D and Transformers got booted from the IMAX screen.

Hi, I'm an asshole who likes to keep following chuck around to belittle his posts about one of the top grossing movies of the year so far, because apparently i'm either a stuck up snob who expected academy award winning performances and didn't enjoy the movie because some fat guy didnt put his thumbs up, or i liked the movie but am unaware of these little round things called DVDs that people tend to purchase of movies they like when they come out, and thus have their release date and information discussed on a discussion board forum post where the topic is movies.

it is hard to imagine paul giamatti as a bad guy, though.

and remember movie discussion, both positive and negative, is acceptable.
mockery is . . . well . . . just plain childish.

there is a clear line between high art and low art (oftentimes).
however, in american society, depth can be replaced for hard hitting action
and insane computer graphics and still provide an adequate form of entertainment.

and on a side note, i got the third season of the office on dvd.
i had not really watched it until a month or two ago,
but i have found it quite hilarious.
i did not think it would be better than the british version,
but i do like the american timing and familiarity.

I got Heroes on DVD a few days back and am still loving it. Going back and watching it after knowing what happens, you realize that they give you a lot of hints as to what the future holds o.o
