Well, if you have a mage or a warlock, you can do it easier than without. When you see them come, the mage just AE. The warlock would have to have his Void Walker out for his Hell Fire AoE to be effective in the fight (the healer should be focusing solely on the tank). It's doable.

Ok, this may be a really dumb question, but it's been bothering me:
There's a talent in the Shaman tree that increases the damage done of their shock spells by 5% and one that reduces the mana cost of those spells by 5%. Earth Shock without talent at level 60 does 517-545 damage for a cost of 450 mana.
With the mana cost reduction, it's 427.5. I will be assuming a Shaman has 4,000 Mana at end game (this is just guessing). ES at 450 = 8 Casts of ES in a row (no mana regen included). ES at 427.5= 9 casts of ES in a row (no regen). Doing an average amount of damage of 531, that means at 8 you get 4248 points of damage or 4779 points of damage. This isn't including crits. With the damage increase it will be the same mana costs but I'll adjust for damage. The range with the damage increase is 542.85 to 572.25. This gives an average of 557.55. So, with eight casts you get 4460.4 damage and with nine you get 5017.95 Bleh, I don't want to continue my mathcraft, seriously. My suggestion is getting ALL of the shock bonuses. -------------------- |
