WTF?! This has received no attention at all, yet a couple of jets on the ground touching wings gets tons. A plane landed on a taxiway! There is usually a ton of traffic on taxiways and this could have been a disaster. that's pretty messed up.
being newark, i would assume that the runways are much closer than normal airports, with taxiways between. since it was night time, i bet they were just slightly off target and didn't notice until it was too late to do anything differently that would have resulted in a successful landing. edit: and yes, the post always has the crazy headlines. they were the ones that showed the hussein sons dead on the cover. |

Well, at first I thought that maybe the pilots were offset by the New Jersey Turnpike, which runs parallel to two of the runways, but they landed on a perpendicular runway. Also they were pilots who commonly flew into Newark. WTF is going on... A truck with three men in it crashed through a perimeter fence at DFW last night and Intercontinental Airport had a security breach this afternoon. geez.
