I know some of you probably think he's just an evil Christian, but I'm reading Joel Osteen's "Becoming a Better You". Very good motivator and uplifting book IMHO. Was a big seller when it came out too.

Was a big seller when it came out too. I don't really know much about him, but I know that it's quite possible for books like that to reach across religious/cultural lines. -------------------- |

Well Osteen is a preacher so his book is written pretty much assuming you're a Christian. Though parts of it could definitely still be considered a general "motivation" kind of theme.

Well that's cool. I don't have anything against most Christians.

I just finished watching fiddler on the roof
-------------------- A psychotic world we live in. The madmen are in power. How long have we known this? Faced this? And--how many of us do know it? Perhaps if you know you are insane then you are not insane. Or you are becoming sane, finally. Waking up. I suppose only a few are aware of all this. Isolated persons here and there. But the broad masses... what do they think? All these hundreds of thousands in this city, here. Do they imagine that they live in a sane world? Or do they guess, glimpse, the truth...?
