I know some of you probably think he's just an evil Christian, but I'm reading Joel Osteen's "Becoming a Better You". Very good motivator and uplifting book IMHO. Was a big seller when it came out too.

I don't really know much about him, but I know that it's quite possible for books like that to reach across religious/cultural lines.  I've been reading The Atheist's Way by Eric Maisel off and on and most of its advice really is applicable no matter what religion you are, so long as you aren't adverse to actively trying to make your life better.

Well Osteen is a preacher so his book is written pretty much assuming you're a Christian. Though parts of it could definitely still be considered a general "motivation" kind of theme.
