Now I know a lot of you will think I'm crazy, but I'm thinking we'll probably beat them. It seems this year we've caught the tech bug of the past, where we play like crap against teams we should beat. Someone like Texas will get them a lot more focused.

Im saying this could be the home game where you all score under 10. McCoy is looking damn good...getting better with each game. Texas Tech seems to be falling apart one game at a time. I would also find it kinda neat if Baylor scored more points against UT than Tech... that would be humorous. I like Baylor though. They always try to keep up.

If the offense can stop imploding, then it shouldn't be such a blowout really.
Baylor put up 297 passing yards against UT. Their secondary continues to be bad. Oh we are supposed to be impressed by Ross ? Big OU game ? He had a big hit on somebody going out of bounds, got an interception off a horrible pass by Thompson (who was shit ugly that day), then another off a free for all long ball. His hustle to the AD lateral pass was good though. If you actually watch games, you'll see that they really have poor coverage. They also rarely get their hands on the ball to force incompletions. The problem is, their front 7 are more than willing to make a play on ANY mistake of yours. This is where their defense gets its power. I really don't know if Harrell can man up and calm down and stop shitting, that's pretty much the most important thing. But can his young ass handle that ? I'm not counting on it. I think the very best Tech can do is keep it within 10 until the 3rd quarter. I'd like to have more confidence, but they just keep screwing up at the basics of it all.....make clean passes...catch clean passes. Their run defense is obviously weak, but that isn't even what I'm worried about. It's the run defense against the scrambling QB. You don't have to be blazing fast, just attempt to run against Tech and you'll get yards. McCoy isn't shy to running, so he'll get first downs on those series where the Tech D actually did step up fully. Leach's offense just needs more tuning, and more discipline out of these players. It's more like someone going out there to do a job. If he could change his attitude it'd make a world of difference. He needs to treat every game like a Big 12 championship or something. His main problems are: 1) not knowing when to get rid of the ball or when to tuck it and take the sack 2) not putting enough power in his throw 3) his habit of looking straight to the reciever long before he throws the ball (as in giving away where he's throwing) and as far as the offense being "a joke"... it's worked pretty great so far. if we could ever get some recruits we'd kick some ass. if the leach style offense was such a joke, people wouldn't be copying it all over the place (like the Baylor team you keep talkin up). |

i dont understand how Leach trusts Harrell, but oh well. He probably doesnt care. He has said his team is not growing at the pace he would like it to.
And I keep hearing people say Robert Johnson will go pro. I am going to say the only person who has a chance to get picked up in the draft is Joel Filani because Hicks has been a disappointment the last two years. No one threw the fade pass like Cumbie did. --------------------  |

the fact that we're still 16th in the nation in total offense would imply it hasn't been stopped. the problem isn't some miraculous defenses stopping us, it's us coughing up the ball and doing stupid shit that doesn't get us in the endzone.

STILL? umm have the numbers come out already? i honestly dont know so im asking.... i mean, i dont see how your offense could still be number 16 when yall only scored 6 points. that being said....its the OFFENSE THAT IS SUCKING...and its not all Harrell's fault. Its the assenine offense that Leach is running. |
