Ok, I don't know if anyone else has heard anything else about this, but apparently the Citibus or whatever routs have ceased to exist starting tomorrow of all days for everything but like 4 or 5 of the big ass student properties.
Apparently Citibus wanted each individual property to pay them like $75,000 a year for services and most of these properties that weren't "specific" student properties or whatever told them to fuck off because the cost of bus fare was supposed to be included in our tuition or whatever... Anyways, completley unannounced, they're stopping service to a LOT of properties around town I found out, and they aren't even announcing it, but if you call them they tell you "Take it up with Texas Tech" ... So basically the traffic is going to be phenomenally mother fucking horrible, and unless you get to your respective parking lot at 3 in the fucking morning you won't be able to find a place to park either ... -------------------- I r Ur Gawd!

QUOTE (chook @ Aug 27 2006, 10:36 AM) I was promised working bus routes this year when I was in SGA. Motherfucks if this is true. The person who told me this works for a "prominent property company" in the city of Lubbock let's say .... She said they'd already been by to remove the Bus Stop signs too. -------------------- I r Ur Gawd!

QUOTE (Jessica @ Aug 27 2006, 10:55 AM) i thought that was the only places they went to begin with No...there used to be a lot more on it than that. At least on the North Indiana route... I don't know I guess it depends what angle you take: I *HATED* that route because it took me 45 minutes to go at most 3/4 of a mile to school because it had so many fucking stops on it but I also had my own vehicle I was just choosing not to drive....a lotta people don't have that luxury -------------------- I r Ur Gawd!

I never ever ever had problems finding parking at tech. maybe its because I parked in the lot across from the basketball stadium?? I dont know. I never really thought parking was a problem |

parking has always been a bitch, and the parking nazis don't help the situation at all by giving a ticket to anyone and everyone

The secret is not parking by the football stadium. There is plenty of parking west of the USA.
Also, this is why moved away from the apartments far from campus and lived in Tech Terrace and ghettoland behind McDonalds on 19th. -------------------- "There is a level of cowardice lower than that of the conformist: that of the fashionable non-conformist." |

don't park in the west lot unless you wanna spend 2 hours walking to class
they need to tear down the track behind the CS/EE building and build a huge parking garage that would service the whole engineering key and the new dorms directly behind it they can stick the track somewhere else |
