They dug deeper and put pipes under it. I think we should start a gondola service though.

nevermind....that price is for the commercial space in the front...

Ya, but the flats they do sell around there go for $1,000+ a month.

We don't really need drainage, they just need to put holes/gaps/whatever in the curb so that the water can make it off the roads.

I think its funny that people keep saying that Lubbock doesnt need a drainage system.

El Paso is a fucking desert. It gets 8 inches of rain a year there....and guess what....THERE IS STILL A FUCKING DRAINAGE SYSTEM.

yeah...Lubbock is a shithole

Alright, since we're ranting about cities I am just going to throw out my rant about Dallas. Houston is amazing compared to this place.

People think that this hell hole is a "big city". It isn't. It's a bunch of little towns tied together by a crappy road system. Each of those little cities controls their portion of the road so when you cross from one city to another the entrance and exit ramps are completely different, the road is paved in something different, and they have different notation for road names. In Houston most people at least know the different names for different freeways (59 north = Eastex Freeway, south = Southwest Freeway, etc.).

There is no real north/south road system here. 75, 35, and the Tollroad are pretty much it. The George Bush Turnpike makes an attempt...

The dumbass left exit thing is just stupid. Not the exits themselves but the fact that there is no announcement until you are 100 yards from the exit.

People hover in the left lane here. That's the fast lane!!! Sitting in the left lane and going slow will get you shot in Houston.

And WTF is up with the freeway entrance and exit ramps. If you are on the feeder road (yeah, I said feeder) you have to yield to traffic coming off the freeway. W. T. F. And entering the freeway isn't much better. You pretty much have 100 ft. to get up to speed and decide if there is room for you to get on. stupid.

yeah but now that lubbock is expanding, water has a hard time being redirected like it was designed....

you take a flat area...stick miles and miles of concrete on it and you get major flooding

Houston is a prime example....

I have more gripes about dallas than carter has peanuts...

but the freeway system, while shitty, is way down on the shitlist.
