Something is going to have to happen, either he opens up the area to drilling (doubtful) or he lays down the law with Cuba.

There's an awful lot of oil on the coast of florida, there's an awful lot of oil off the coast of southern california, there's an awful lot of oil left in Alaska, there's an awful lot of oil left in Colorado and Wyoming, there's an awful lot of oil left in North America period...

But because of what amounts to complete bullshit political games, we can't drill for it....so because americans are scientifically illiterate as a whole, we elect politicians who effectivley make a very very very very very small portion of arabic elites rich beyond their wildest dreams while the rest of those countries starve in poverty....

All so barbara streisand can have a nice view out of her multimillion dollar estate at martha's Vinyard without seeing an off shore drilling rig and still be able to drive her fucking armored excursion everywhere, etc...

I dunno, it really bends me outta shape when I see people driving gas hog vehicles that bitch and piss and moan about gas prices and "the environment" and whatnot...

Quite honestly, the last vehicle in the world I would have right now ideally (since I'm in Lubbock and not Wyoming at least) is the truck I have.

While it's a nice vehicle and has served it's purpose (key word: I used to use the shit outta the thing) very well for me, the absolute last thing in the UNIVERSE I need(ed) in west texas is a 4WD truck...

I will also go so far as to make the bold statement that %90 of the people in west texas who drive 4WD vehicles don't need them either, ESPECIALLY the ones who live in the cities ...

I have no problem whatsoever with people owning vehicles they *need*, or at least use as they were inteded as being used ... IE, you buy a truck to haul stuff on fishing trips, pull trailers, etc....not to fucking drive around town in and show off to your idiot friends you just bought a $50,000 diesel truck that's meant for towing #15,000 pound trailers to tow a #600 jet ski to the lake rolleyes.gif

I literally think to myself every single day when I get in my truck ... "I have absolutley no use for this vehicle whatsoever...." ...

It's paid off though, and honestly if I stay in Texas after graduation I'm getting rid of it and will get a car ... If I move back home I'll still need it, heh smile.gif

I know what y'all mean... I am desperately trying to get rid of my Bronco now that I am back in a big city and driving 80 miles a day, round trip. My truck had a purpose... I went hunting a lot and was a "hand" on a ranch outside of Post. Since the ranch contained most of the Brazos fork (and no bridges) something with 4WD was a necessity. But now that I'm in the city, it's a killer on gas and since my brother is now up in Lubbock with a truck whenever I want to go hunting I'll just steal his.
