Doubtful since it says the missile test failed after two minutes...

You mean Star Wars? Again doubtful, since only a couple of the satellites were ever put into space.

Also, I think the government would announce that they shot it down since they were so vocal about warning North Korea that they would.

Star Wars is what I was referencing. It's been around for years and the public doesn't know all the details on it such as how advanced the technology is and even the actual number of satellites we have.

We very well could have taken out the North Korean missile and kept quiet about it. To the North Koreans it'd just look like a failed missile test and they wouldn't get their panties in a wad that the U.S. took it out. Meanwhile the black-ops U.S. guys are content knowing that we have an effective missile defense weapon. Black-ops always remains under the radar, they're not going to announce the existance of one of our top-secret weapons to the world.

Also, I'm curious as to how the North Korean gov/media is spinning this failure to the North Korean people. If anyone can find some articles that would be neat.

Well, they don't have television and they only read state news so who knows, they probably didn't even know a missile launched.

About the test, again, you are saying that the government would keep quiet even though this is an opportune time to stick it to the North Korean government? hmmm...

I highly doubt we have a laser that can cut into a missile from miles away.

They'll probably say it successfully annhilated Hawaii and that the American Imperialists are too scared to do anything about it and then praise Kim Chong-il for having the insight to strike back against aggression.

Now reports are saying it failed 42 seconds into flight... Really doubt anything that any nation has is capable of doing that.

We already have those, they had one on tv that fit into a 747. So if they can put that on tv, I'm sure they have something better?

You talking about the Airborne Laser Laboratory? They had a system that they flight tested on a KC-135 in the 80's. They've ground tested the 747 system, but not used it in flight.
