Interesting study, but wtf does it have to do with law?

because technically you're violating the EULA by botting or selling in-game items for real-world money ...
It's kind of one of those things where a lotta people bitch about people doing it, yet they have 300 gigs of MP3's they've ganked off the internet in the last 8 years on their hard drives, so it's kinda a moot point. I will admit that I've used WoW Glider before to level my character up a few levels, and I can see where if you were doing this for money this would be a valuable tool as you could effectivley bot on 4 or 5 different WoW accounts at the same time... However, for the casual WoW player it honestly becomes more of a pain in the ass than it's worth because you literally spend so much time setting up glider profiles so you don't get caught that if you would just go run an instance or grind out a few quests you'd gain more experience anyways. If you think about it it's pretty easy for Blizzard to catch somone who has botted the living shit outta their characters because they'll be level 60 and have maybe completed 50 quests (if that) throughout the whole game .... It's also pretty easy to tell if somone's botting because of the incredibly repititious behaviour ... I dunno, I tried it out, and my $0.02 on it is that unless you're doing it for money (real money) it's more of a pain in than it's worth just because if you do it long enough you're probably gonna get banned. -------------------- I r Ur Gawd!
