Um... sounds kinda retarded to me. What would be the point of a business card that proclaims your status as a grad student?

For some grad students business cards make sense, especially if they are in a research field where they go to conferences and stuff. Friends of mine in the Geology field give out there cards whenever there is someone at a conference doing similar work. Social networking people.

Some grad students have titles and real jobs @ the university they attend.

Your card can read:

Name
Department of Whatever
Focus
contact info

It's not conceited, it's a way to make contacts in the same field. I don't know how many of you have actually been to conferences where there is a large number of peers and experts but a lot of people ask for cards, especially if they are interested in your research.

IF you are doing reserach etc or have a job while in grad school...then why not if you wanted one

but for me, just as a student and not doing research, it would just look retarded
