Coming to the realization that there's no need for graduate school. The stuff that was being taught to me was way too abstract. It had no practical purpose. If it did, then the instructor failed to provide even one example. I don't consider it a waste though. I taught many students basic math skills and made them not so afraid of math. -------------------- Spam? Isn't that something poor people eat?

Lubbock seems as good a place as any other. I don't like standardized testing though. In fact, I hate it. It's full of lies and mediocrity, so I'm not sure that I could get into the teaching. I'll find out soon enough. Considering teaching in high school or teaching in the military. The latter would offer more attentive students, I think. -------------------- Spam? If you went with teaching at a private school, you might not have to deal with standardized testing (at least not things like the TAAS/TASP, or whatever the hell they're calling them these days). Some private schools administer standardized tests like the California or Stanford Achievement Tests, but they don't harp on prepping for the tests the way public schools do in Texas.

In my personal case, I will hopefully be in the Master of Athletic Training program at TTUHSC...and they tell us what our classes are each term. We have no choice LOL. (I will know if that's my path in about 2 weeks when decision letters go out) |

ah i see.
well after my 1 year stint in korea, i'm planning on grad school at Tech, but i'll most likely transfer out to somewhere like UT. i don't like the specific grad program here for my degree, but i need to start at Tech since they're already willing to give me a TAship. -------------------- ![]() |
