Bought a home in 2011, I'm a licensed practitioner, and getting married next month.

Stella and Alfie are still doing well. More evidence she is indeed immortal.

Still driving my Prius

Still being a thorn in the side of people who just can't grasp what's good for them

My late night adventures have decreased over the years but at a recent party there was still fire, costumes, and much loud noises

I've been thinking of adding to my tattoo work only if I can find the right kind of artist to do my vato-themed cats in a low rider scene. If you all know someone...

OMG i am told this still exists!

I completed my Masters in Social Work this May and I work in the child welfare field. I love my job and the families/kiddos I work with. I'm living in Houston with my bf Kevin (who was ratm1560d). We've been together for 4.5 years now. We live in the city and like doing city stuff. I am currently studying for my state license.

Kevin graduated in 2007 from Tech and is an engineer here in Houston. He's been at his job now for a whopping 3 yrs!

Alfie and Stella are still doing great (the doggies) and together Kevin and I have two cats (Shiro and Rachel).

We visit Austin and get to see Alex every once in awhile (was his screenname really pyrex? or am i just thinking about food handling)

oh yeah you guys will like that I still own my Prius and still get about 50mpg!

so... what does this have to do with mccain's proposal?

because its related to EVs and you made a misinformed statement about existing EVs.

EVs are related to his proposal because it is concerning EV

(electric vehicles = EVs)

GM took back all their volts and smushed them. something that pissed off the entire world. now GM is having to own up for their actions and is re-releasing their Volt. due partially to high demand and need. i know people that are trying to already put down deposits for the car that hasnt even shown in autoshows yet

how much does the average person know about EV? should be waaaaaaaaay higher

way of the future!

they are inefficient and truckers are already struggling. you want to just kill them off?

hey the best thing for this country is to diversify its energy. no one in their right mind disagrees with that. so not relying on oil so much is a good thing.

why is this only a liberal issue? i thought conservatives and republicans hated spending their own money to help others on a grand scale. that is relevant to the discussion of obesity

this isnt a "liberal" issue at all

jesus christ dude - CHECK YOUR BLOOD PRESSURE. maybe the internet isnt the best place for your health

EVs are in huge demand. when the volt was out they had to screen people OUT because the demand was so high. and EVs are more efficient then you think

edit: so are you going to post the source?

youd have to post your source on that. havent heard anything about it. 1 reason why the wait list for the prius is long is because everyone and their mother is buying one

but i know they arent maxed out because they are still building them and soon releasing the 09s

ok thats your opinion. but you cant stop the "blame" at illegals when discussing medical costs that "we all pay for". thats just silly and old

illegals pay taxes too. hell they even get refunds

how often does the average person need to commute with a 8000lb trailer for 400 miles?

18wheelers SHOULD be a thing of the past. they should be dock to market and we should rely on trains for coast to coast transportation. would save a bunch of money and energy

If you think that we don't, you are SEVERELY misinformed. Please don't start this fucking argument in here. It's pointless. You refuse to open your eyes to the FACT that our government spends WAY TOO FUCKING MUCH MONEY on illegals.

ok think about this.... WE pay for their health care.... why? why would we NOT pay for the health care of obesity patients if they dont have insurance

obesity is a huge problem in america. and an expensive one

uh but you think we pay for illegal immigrants health care because they dont have insurance and apparently go to hospitals all the time. do all obese people have health insurance? i dont have the numbers anymore but i remember this argument and medical costs related to obesity in america are larger than numbers people like to spout off about illegals health care needs

i know what it says... i dont see what your point is.

my original post still stands

im not making fun of this just because its mccain. im making fun of it because there are already super small, super efficient/powerful hybrid/electric batteries for cars that are years before their time. hey its nice he wants to see even better ones i guess, but like inferia said - its all gimicky.

but as far as pacifying the environmentalists. if that was part of this PR shindig it wasnt that smartest. most environmentalists are probably well versed in EVs and know where the industry is going

i dont like paying huge taxes for fat people who have gotten themselves into severe medical situations because of their lack of action and behaviors. its not their right to waste my money... what argument does that remind me of?

oh god...

when i heard about this i just thought uh wtf. Electric cars arent all that rare. Many companies (even US ones) have already announced plans to release them in the next few years.

i guess i just dont get what the point is. little late mccain - the industry is already booming. PR STUNT he wants to pacify the environmentalists.

Love plug in cars. Just about every car company has plans to release one in 2009-2010. I'm not expecting much from GM with the Volt (horrible business what they did to it in the first place). But there will be many alternatives to choose from. I know quite a few people here in America driving EVs and plug them into their solar panel home grids. 100% free vehicle transportation. In California quite a few Park and Ride bus terminals also have plug-in pitstops (many of them solar). Suupper excited. If i dont buy a EV in 2-3 years I'll purchase the EV conversion kit for the Prius.

No more oil!
