I highly doubt the speakers wires are loose and wouldn't go tearin out panels tryin to find out (once you take em out, they never quite go back in as well. Especially if you hear static out of all the speakers.

It's on both cd and radio...about 10 seconds of normalcy and then a screeching static sound (no music is heard at that point. It's not being "drowned out." It just only has that sound coming out the speakers at that point.)

well it's definitely not a ground loop or antenna connection if you're not hearing any music at all when it starts... does it do it when you just turn the key to accessories to power the radio?

I actually haven't tried this. I will this afternoon and see if the screeching happens then as well.
