I have been hearing A LOT of talk lately that this is possible. I don't really understand how it could be. What do you all think and give an explanation as to why you think that way.
I feel this is an NPR issue because science is news. |

sure if you can go fast enough. We can currently go about 1/100000000000000000000 as fast as we need to go

You can't ever travel "back" in time. But it is possible to slow time down relative to others. But like impala said, it requires a great deal of speed relative to others.

its highly logical but like they say you need to go fast enough, and in this day in age it is difficult to find a car that can reach 88 MPH and whose body is made of a material that is sturdy enough to endure the rigors of time travel.

I seem to recall a discovery channel show where they showed this test of two synchronized clocks, then put one in a blackbird and let it fly mach 5 or whatever it does and when it got back the clocks were off by some tiny fraction of a second.

I seem to recall a discovery channel show where they showed this test of two synchronized clocks, then put one in a blackbird and let it fly mach 5 or whatever it does and when it got back the clocks were off by some tiny fraction of a second. yes this did occur. They used atomic clocks. You can't ever travel "back" in time. But it is possible to slow time down relative to others. But like impala said, it requires a great deal of speed relative to others. and energy... -------------------- ![]() |
